Data Migration
Migrating your data from one application to the other can be a cumbersome process. Getting the data right in the new application is the basis for a successful project. The data needs to be exported, cleaned, the structure is probably different and imported in the new application. This is one of the most time consuming parts of your project which gets always underestimated. Data Import
Expanding your business with a new country or BU? Did you buy some contact data or went to a congress where you met a lot of interesting persons? This data can be imported into your application with specific data load tools. Before importing your new data you of course have to cleanse it and check the data for dupes.
Data Cleansing
Working with clean data is key to success and adoption of your application. In time your application will be populated with dupes, incomplete data and data in other formats then desired (phone numbers, addresses, etc). Cleaning and making sure your data is up-to-date and correct is a time consuming and continuous task. If your data cannot be trusted no decision can be made on this data and in time the application will no longer be used .
